JACKSON ESTATE SHELTER BELT CHARDONNAY

JACKSON ESTATE SHELTER BELT CHARDONNAY

The Jackson and Stichbury families have farmed the free draining soils of Marlborough's Wairau River plains for more than 160 years. The vines in our Homestead vineyard were planted in 1989 by Jackson Estate founders, John and Jo Stichbury. Our aim is to make wines of elegance and finesse that show vineyard expression with minimal winemaking intervention. The fruit was harvested from the Homestead vineyard, whole bunch pressed then fermented in French oak barriques using indigenous yeasts before aging on lees for ten months prior to bottling.
